Home Kit Contest - 2011-12 Agueroooo v 1997-99 Kappa pg54

Kappa

That shirt just says something to me, i remember wearing it at school on non uniform day when everybody else was wearing those shit sharp shirts.

It reminds me of the city i grew up with, getting promoted, the optimism of the goat after kinky left. That night against wigan at maine road.

That shirt was a protest to me, when city were at their lowest, the rags at their highest but still thousands stood in blue.

Got to be 2011 -12 - agree with the sentiment Ban but even more sentiment around winning the league, in the manner we did

I understand but for some reason i dont associate the aguerooo moment with that shirt.

It was a bog standard effort by umbro and it doesnt stand out to me.

I feel a lot more looking at the kappa shirt than i do looking at most others to be honest.

Quality post. Absolutely the same reasons for me and we must be of a similar age too.

Never liked the Kappa shirts as they weren't our shade blue. Laser blue is bollocks! I felt then, and still do now, that the change from our traditional sky blue took something away from our identity

Taking sentimentality out of it, I kind of agree last season's shirt wasn't a classic. But there's no arguing with one of the best days of my life.

Aguero all the way
