Honeymoon - Egypt or Tenerife

you have 800 each and those are your choices? you could do far better. definately consider cuba, puglia (italy) or maybe south india/sri lanka?

I'm getting married later in the year and me and the wife to be cant agree on a destination for our honeymoon.
I want to go to Tenerife and she wants to go to Egypt. We get married in November so we have a fair bit of time to book something.
So come on fellow bluemooners you decide for us,Tenerife or Egypt

if you go to egypt avoid a hotel with a lot of russians in which is most, they are wankers

all inc can be good value but also can be painfully boring, depends what you like to do on holiday and if your budget includes spending money

Thanks for all the replies... We really don't want to fly for more than 5 hours but we want sunshine.

Neither are really places I'd class as honeymoon destinations. You will probably be able to get 2 weeks all inc in the carribean for a similar amount.

The reason we chose these two are that we get married in Nov and we dont want a long haul holiday. To be fairly certain of getting sunny weather within a 4-5hrs flying time we chose these two places

My mate lives in Los Crisianos, Tenerife so I go and visit several times a year.

They've spent a bit of money in and around Los Cristianos. It's really nice round the beach areas either side of the harbour.
There's a newish complex "El Mirador". All the bars are pretty modern, aircon, comfy sofas, decent sound systems, plasmas etc. Ricky Hatton owns a luxury apartment there.
For £800 a piece you should be able to get a top end accommodation.

youre looking at canaries or north africa then, i would go on some comparison sites to see what flights are cheap to diff destinations, check trip advisor for apartments, you will get somewhere for about £350 each which leaves you £900 minimum spending so you can hit different bars and restaurants all week, better than being stuck in a all inc hotel watching shit entertainment and eating bland buffet style food

I hear you can get a 3 course meal plus wine for £20 a head in Basrah.
