Yeah, if it's the same incident I'm thinking of from the Friday night before the game, it booted off between 2 sets of blues. I don't know what the trigger was but there were some body-building types involved. I was minding my own business talking to someone with my back turned so was unaware it was booting off. Next minute I nearly got cleaned out by a couple of people scrapping and had to be pushed out of the way. I seem to remember a scooter being launched as well. Oh, and I think in the ensuing chaos @Didsbury Dave had his bag nicked off the table he was sitting at by an opportunist local thief.

That’s exactly right. Drug related I think and I only remember one set of lads were from Moston. I was right there by the stacked up chairs at the back. But I’d already had my bag nicked (well remembered mate!) after a kick off about half an hour before closer to the river which was city and Chelsea.

West Ham and United had a friendly little boat trip over to Holland together for pre season friendlies in ‘86. Well I don’t think they ever made it as far as Holland. Think the ferry was turned around half way over.

Your right it was the season they got back in div1 1975 got beat 2-1 they got battered West Ham came in the away end at 3/4 time
It was round about that season that West Ham did Donald at the Wimpy Bar I think
