Hopes for next season?

The priority for me is retaining the Premier League title, I think that this would make a bigger and bolder statement about our club than anything else

Hopefully at least get through the group stage of the Champions League

It would be nice to win one of the domestic cups. At worst let's get to the semi or quarter finals by utilising the squad

Charity Shield , FA Cup , PL Title. CL.

Realistically : Charity Shield, PL, FA Cup final, CL semi final. if I had to choose one, it would be to retain PL Title.

11/8 favs to win the league, could turn out to be a good price.

Being a gambling man i never thought we would ever be that short at the start of a season..

I would like to win Charity shield.

not too bothered about the league cup ( i am old enough to have watched the last win !).

Decent run in PL would be fine - to be honest anything but not to lose it on goal difference with 67 seconds left to go !!!

and get to KO in champions league - and when we get knocked out - too one of the European powerhouses in a heroic effort ( probably with unjust ref decision to blame ).

11/8 looks good.

Expect another two horse race but hopefully our away form will be better next season and we will win it again.

Final stages of the Champions League is a must now.

A cup final would be a bonus.

I'd take winning the prem for a couple more years then proper go for the champions league...

Winning the prem is the ultimate for me..

Champions League? That's going to be a difficult task.

In the first place, you can almost guarantee that we'll be in the worst 'group of death' imaginable: something like Barcelona, City, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.

This season's experiences will definitely help. OK, we got 10 points - which would normally be enough to get out of the group stage - but we could have had more points (and we could just as easily have had less points).

Napoli at Home: we played into their hands and, although we could have easily won the game, we left ourselves wide open to their counter attacks.

Bayern Away: two clear penalties (on Silva and Richards) not given. Their first goal was at the near-post and should have been defended better, but once the second went in (after two great saves by Joe Hart) it was all over.

Villarreal at Home: we probably underestimated them and nearly paid the price. Agüero's last-minute winner was a real bonus.

Villarreal Away: a comfortable win, to be honest.

Napoli Away: exactly the same as the home game: we played into their hands and, although we could have easily won the game, we left ourselves wide open to their counter attacks.

Bayern at Home: ok, they rested some of their players, but we still beat the potential 2012 champions. If only Villarreal had managed to hold out against Napoli.

All the above should help us next year, but we need to be a bit more tactically aware when we play in Europe. You get punished if you're not careful.

Let's hope that we can get through the group stage next year. Then, as Chelsea have proved, everything is possible.

So, next year I would go for:

Community Shield: Winners
FA Cup: depends on the ref
League Cup: depends on the ref
Premier League: I can see us winning it again, but with less points
Champions League: semi-final?

Let's not be too greedy!
