Just had a chat with the jockey:
Jockey was actually really happy with how he travelled. His exact words were, "if hed have jumped off, he'd have pissed it". Nicholls said he made up the ground really well and about 2f started to motor, at which point he felt he still had a winning chance if a gap appeared. He had to stall the run because no such gap appeared and then couldnt get the same motor back and was content to stay on into 6th.
Spoke to Dandy the trainer who's gonna get him turned around and back out, so will inform you all when he's next entered.
Appreciate you all being gracious, not nice to cost people money but hopefully, his next run will get it you all back and more besides.
