I went in a box for the Liam G gig at the Etihad if that counts. Enjoyed the free ale that’s for sure.
Is that you Victor, or is it Alf ?I gave up my season card a couple of years ago after many, many years, and now, when I do go to the occasional match, I only pay the FOC ticket price. In the ground half an hour before kick off, out soon after the final whistle.
I go to the chippy before the game, and drink water, or a pint in the Grove if I'm not driving.
Programmes have been a waste of money since the 1980s, full of adverts and club propaganda that any regular fan would already be well aware of.
I haven't liked the direction the club takes for some years, and when they removed the 'FC' from the club name, I said I wouldn't put any more money into the club than I had to to watch a match.
I know I'm not the only FOC who's done this, but I wouldn't care if I was. The club is now a million miles further away from the traditional fan... it's just not the same any more.
I can watch every game on a dodgy stream, so unless it suits me otherwise, that's what I do. Bollocks to the rich, and their 'fan experience'.

Sad ******I'm a proud FOC. Served my time in the Main Stand, Block H, and learned from some of the best.
Once these new owners started shifting decent long suffering City fans from the seats they'd had for years, that was it for me. I've not trusted anything they've done since.

Sad ******
People with money need to spend it :)In your opinion. Personally, I don’t think there's much 'sadder' than giving large amounts of money to a billionaire club to try to get closer to millionaire footballers who don't actually care about them.
Just my opinion of course, but I'm not an overgrown childish fanboy.

Went in cb 1st tier a couple of years ago city 1 Brentford 2 b4 we went to world club cup, I sat next to a old dear who said straight away we don't like swearing here, so being the gent i am said I try to keep it to a minimum which lasted 5 mins b4 I tore into someone, she was not impressed but I did say to her it's a football game and emotions take overI was in the Chairman's Lounge once about 7 or 8 years ago and quite enjoyed it but as a one off only. Enjoyed having the padded seat but was too far from the pitch.
I like to be close to the pitch so my front row seat in CBL0 (formerly L1) suits me down to the ground (forgive the pun.)
Down at the front and in with everyone else you can shout as much as you like (no swearing as you know) but I felt self conscious when I shouted in excitement in the 'posh' seats!!
Exactly. I don’t mind others swearing just can’t do it myself. As I’ve said on here before if you’d had a Dad like mine you would understand!! *lol*Went in cb 1st tier a couple of years ago city 1 Brentford 2 b4 we went to world club cup, I sat next to a old dear who said straight away we don't like swearing here, so being the gent i am said I try to keep it to a minimum which lasted 5 mins b4 I tore into someone, she was not impressed but I did say to her it's a football game and emotions take over

It’s all in the spirit of the game and I would never ask anyone, especially at football, not to swear.
Adds to the atmosphere. :-)
I guess I should have said where I can shout and made it clearer I was only meaning me. :-) Sorry.
*laughs out loud* ;-)FFS ;-)
Proper good moan and I agree with some of it, but when has the club ever been close to the fans? Nostalgia is not what it used to be.I gave up my season card a couple of years ago after many, many years, and now, when I do go to the occasional match, I only pay the FOC ticket price. I don't get your problem, if you want to pay for corporate why not. There's a big difference between 'need' and 'want'.
The City Group should get you on speed dial.
