Hot tubs

Our cleverspa now lives in the shed - we enjoyed it to start with but just can't justify the costs with the current energy prices

Still part of a help group on Facebook from when I first got one and I'd say roughly 75% of people are switching off - some horror stories about what it's costing people to run theirs now

Has anyone ever had a complaint against them for having a noisy Jacuzzi or have successfully complained about a neighbour's one?
There was this one time, on the Broomwood est, with a slurry pit, guy posts or used to on here, claimed to be from Brooklands and was a bit litigious by all accounts.

Hot tubs now known as electricity eaters.

No thanks.

Not mine mate. It’s a wood fired one. I’ve got an electric heater if I want to keep it ticking over once it’s up to temp but not used the heater at all yet. From cold takes about 1-1.5hours to get to temp I use a couple of those smokeless logs you get from B&Q to kick start it then chuck a couple of normal logs on after that, maybe a couple more after that at most.

Everyone I know who has bought a hot tub uses for it about two months (about 3 or 4 times during that period) then never touches it again. Don't bother.

well I picked one up about a month ago - a bargain - got all the stuff for it now and am going to give it a go over the summer when the wewather finally warms up for a decent length of time - what's it gonna cost to run? haven't a clue, don't really care to be honest, life's too short.

Will use ours sparingly, if you use it in hot weather the temp of the water doesn’t drop dramatically so the heater doesn’t kick in, would only use it if I can get a good few days out of it, wouldn’t fill it up for one day that’s just a waste. Probably have it on for half term jubilee week if it’s nice.

One of these two would probably lick the bowl out after you have finished.
