House/Electro House

Electro house is sick. I saw the Swedish House Mafia at Pacha in 2008 and it was un real. Seeing Deadmau5 tomorrow night - gonna be good!

I'm quite into my trance as well. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-3Yfm2mBRE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-3Yfm2mBRE</a> - Probably a bit of an obvious bloke, but what a tune!

Drum n bass is good, but getting a bit soft!

Felixbg listens to shite happy hardcore, for anyone thats interested!

I know it's my favourite, class.
You are so lucky, seeing SHM at Pacha! & Deadmau5, I wish I was going to his gig. :(

Trance was getting slated by alot of people in here but feck it, I like trance too! :P

Any fans here?

Or are you all only Alties/Indies? :P

Spent a few nights in the Hacienda, went clubbing at Back to Basics in Leeds, Eden/Temple in Bolton and a few spots in the Midlands, and had a wild time (Its all a bit fuzzy tbh!) Got into dj'ing house on some Technics 1200's, never really seriously but alas all the vinyl has gone and moved onto cd's (Got around 40 gig of tunage on my hard drive) but I still have my CDJ's set up in the lounge and do have a dabble from time to time. Play at house parties now and again and my mate jams along on his Bongo's (He used to play in Eden/Temple back in the day).

Stuff I like to play varies with my mood but usually the likes of Fred Fualke, Eddie Amador, ATFC, MAW, Bob Sinclair, Loleatta Hollaway, Ministers de la funk, Praise Cats., Cahill, ian Carey, Pete Heller, Soul Avengerz, Milk and Sugar, Tom Novy, Bimbo Jones, Soul Providers etc etc etc...... I'm sure you get the picture.. Proper what I call Funky House but not all this commercial crap you get churned out these days.

I like some Soulful House and a bit of Electro (but not much)

I despise 'Bouncy House' (My son pollutes my decks with it and I have to leave the room when he mixes!)
I suppose I got a bit disillusioned with the music scene and stopped clubbing a couple of years ago (It must be my age!) and prefer to go to gigs these days. I do still love house music but I've also always liked Indie and other guitar based genres. I'm listening to a bit of breaks at the moment and can recommend Fort Knox 5 (Check em out there awesome!)
At least this thread has inspired me to fire up my decks tonight so thanks for that MW!

It's sickening what can be produced nowdays, not all mainstream or "commercial" music is bad but when some peoples perception of house music is just say "Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl (Filllthy Lectro Remix)" you can't deny it's gone sour, I agree that most Electro House is dog.. but don't judge a book on one page.. maybe you son is playing all the pop songs poor remixes or just churned out crap tbh, if you could get me a tracklist from him it'd be great.

That is brilliant mate! keep it up, remember me when you make it ;)
Haha, np, it's good to hear the classic stuff isn't dying off completley.

Not too bad and I've always liked his lyrics but I can't really enjoy music sped up so much, sounds artificial to me, but I do like some Techno so it's not like I'm narrow minded.

Ha ha knockin on 45 I think my sell by dates well and truly passed, I'll have a rumage through his cd wallets and let you know what tracks he's playing at the moment. I see your from Dublin, I ve had a few good nights out in clubs there as well, dont ask me which ones, the after parties were always awesome!
