House plants

Can't beat an eye-catching window sill display of miniature cacti. They're inexpensive (about £2 a pop) and they're all different. Some spiky, 3/4 vertical shoots, white bearded, circular, small buds in clusters etc. - some do flower (for 1st 2 years anyway). Just need natural light and minimal water (just teaspoon level every 3 weeks - 2 in growing season). Only lost 2 out of 20 in 15 years. Don't worry if shoots turn brownish - just getting old
