Housing market slowdown?

Signed a sales agreement on Saturday, photos done on Monday, HIPs done Tuesday, one viewing today and 2 tomorrow ! So no slowdown here !

Good for you!

Around here, headline prices have hardly changed but actual sale prices are typically 10 -15% below the asking.

Still not much moving though

Yes same here, expecting to knock 20-30k off asking price tbh ! apparently a lot of cash buyers here with no chains !

Nice one.
Couldnt sell my house in manchester so had to rent it, got to mortgages at moment so not good for the pocket

Can I ask a question? Whats the best way to buy a house on the cheap?

Thought about auction but dont know how or where to start... or how much it would save.. we want a three bedroom house in an okay area, but can only really afford 85k, which is a non-starter..

This is a three bed in a nice area. 85k ? Might get you a couple of bricks !
Seriously, auction is probaly best but you need the money in place before hand and I doubt a nice area would be do-able for 85k

House next door to us had it's for sale sign up yesterday morning and when i got home from work last night someone was viewing it so obviously didn't waste anytime there. It's up at 125k, we bought ours last year in June for 135k
