Houssem Aouar

If we are serious about bringing more academy players through properly, then I don't mind us passing on players like this, personally. The pride we could take from that and the amount we could stick it to our rivals cannot be overstated.

Buy ready made or show patience with our youth. We can't do both, there has to be some sacrifice with either option.

its not about sticking to your rivals.

Its all about winning. Whichever is the best way, I don't know.

Hopefully we don't regret adding quality midfielder. Injury or two and we see Gundogan jogging around the pitch.

I'm lost on my thoughts with this one.
1) who is kevs partner in mid? Will it be foden and bernado? Don't need him
2) is foden or bernado primarily playing on the wing this season? Need him
3) does pep believe palmer or doyle are ready? Don't need him
4) will gundogan play in a midfield 3 with either rodri or ferna or both? 100% need him more than a left back.

Wish I knew his plans for midfield this year, I assumed foden was taking silvas place but so far he's played lw and rw, so my arse is going now.

Of course it would be about that if we succeed in bringing a bunch of them through, we'd have made them eat their words and saved ourselves a load of money for other transfers.

That's IF it works out though, it would be good to atleast see them try and bring more through than they have been doing, if they genuinely they have the potential and are ready to step up.

The priorities this season begin with a dedicated LB and CDM end of. No more attacking midfielders or wide players. Striker will have to be put back till next year. I would say CDM is the most important role but Pep seems to fancy gundogan and Rodri. Personally I would have tried to move Gundog on even though he is a good player just not as a number 6 in certain games.

Rodri can be utilised there against certain teams and also as a CB so Rodri + new CDM would have been ideal.
