Houssem Aouar

Too old, he's in decline, powers waning, and he's had a bad season from the two games I've watched. We don't need him and there must be fetuses available that we should have identified. Hang on, which thread is this?

The Phil Foden thread.

Tbf if you work on the Pep's 'let's find a space for Gundogan' theory, he's right.

Hopefully not, otherwise I really don't want him.

I think people really overrate Pep's love of Gundogan. He's in the side because we had a problem, Silva couldn't run anymore or play every game and no one else does the job of constantly giving and receiving the ball 100 times a game to establish our possession in games.

@Prestwich_Blue said we had an arrangement to bring Aouar in last summer and if he had, I doubt Gundogan would have been anything more than the back up he's been for the previous 3 seasons.

Aouar-Rodri-KDB midfield, Gundogan backing up Rodri, Foden in the front 3 most of the time and Bernardo backing up KDB and Aouar unless he finds his POTY-nominee form.

I would like to agree & used to argue it myself, but his inclusion v Lyon was either tactical genius or a fucking favouritism pisstake.
Edit: Bernardo could be an absolute season changer if he got his shit together, if he's still here.
