How Are the Club Doing it...?

Just the other day I was thinking about how many 'greatest teams' City have developed and this one is right on the verge being another amazing team!

If I'm honest I'm blown away about how many 'perfect storms' the club has created for our teams to be constantly on the verge of greatness.

So, I guess my question is since there are many factors going into what happens, what's the leading one...?

The directors' ability to plot a pathway for the team and player?

The player's belief in his own ability coming through?

The manager's ability to get a player to 'believe'?

The fact it happens so often can't be coincidence, but I can't get my head around what's different about an amazing team built on potential and not 'galacticos'.

Or are we 'Galacticos', really...?
Pep

Utter genius’ at work from top to bottom . The best run club in world football. Fact.

If it was just about spending money then united would be looking at their
10th title on the trot and everton would have had a few years in the champions league

How many managers do you see shouting orders to his players consistently during the game, even when we score he calls certain players over to give instructions to, look at last night Haaland, he is living and kicking every ball. That’s why we are so good we have the best manager in the World.

Loads of ex-player managers do that.

Guardiola's not unique.

To others:

There are loads of well funded, well run clubs with great players. I don't think my query was about one offs, but the constant production of great teams!

I think people have to hark back to Prem beginnings when they pick out 'great teams', but we've had 4/5 amazing teams and others just shy of that! It's astonishing especially knowing it takes players, on average, 18 months to get Guardiola's system in their skulls and, still, the level of playing ability is outstanding.

Actually, players that leave truly do step down a level and I used to think that was me just being a City fan wishing the worst for [some of] the leavers!

Pep's a genius, but he is also the most powerful manager in the World, he has the 100% faith and backing of those above him. Player power (moody bastards) gets rid of manager after manager but no player or players are more important than Pep, anyone unhappy gets moved on asap. I think the amount of power and backing Pep has is the main reason he has been with us for so long.

Pep is the difference maker, what he has done has been incredible. Don’t think people will realise just how good he is until he is gone.
You‘re right, hopefully he will extend his contract until 2050.
