How badly do we need a Nasri/Sneijder type signing?

Sneijder is overpriced and I don't think that we need him. The bigger probolem is what happens with Tevez. If he stays, we will be fine this year, with Nasri or not (who I don't like very much).

Who else will we turn to besides Silva if not a signing like this? Mancini probably won't dip into the youth ranks where we have three lads who may or may not be ready for some games in this role, so we'd be stuck with Milner trying hard but probably not quite succeeding.
 
We just needed someone in our midfield who could control the ball today. Every time there was a pass in midfield it was like a game of wally any time it was to De Jong, Yaya or Silva. It was as if Jo was playing all over again! I'd like to see the stats on how much possession was lost in the middle of the park.
 
It really shouldn't take a 30m signing to outplay a midfield 2 of Anderson and Cleverley, it would be nice to get another great player like Sneijder but the ones we have should be more than good enough at that level.

We will have a very good season anyway...but the signing of one of these two would just put us in the perfect position, a squad with plenty of depth and having a plan B and plan C if need be.
 
10/10 need a player of that mould. Our midfield looks totally inept at going forward and lacks a creative midfielder to link play. I know we have Silva, but there were times when I forgot he was playing yesterday. The problem at the moment is that when Silva isn't on form we haven't got anyone else who can step up.
 
Just curious - this Sneijder/Nasri type signing - can someone tell me who's place this player will take in the starting XI?

we need a quick skillful winger alot more, someone like Elia or (dare I say it? ok here goes) Nani.
