Derek Acorah has a mate called Sam that will know.
On a similar note, I've been told that somebody's been sectioned but the hospital I've been told they're at won't give me any information due to patient confidentiality, does anyone know if there's any way of finding out if they are/were in a secure unit or not?
Or is this a fool's errand?
Try these
FreeBMD - Search

I did actually read somewhere concerning the Elvis letter - that if you time it to send an envelope addressed to Gracelands on the anniversary of his death/birth and put a return address, they'll send it back stamped 'return to sender' - so as it's franked with an Elvis song, the Gracelands estate and and anniversary date allegedly it's worth money to avid Elvis collectors (useless information).Maybe write your friend a letter and put your address on the envelope. If you don't hear then maybe she / she doesn't want you to know he /she is there.
If he / she isnt there, they will Elvis Presley the letter and return to sender
Try the bmd in local newspapers. Try searching his name in said papers. As it says. There must be a way.
There was a man called Mick who used to drink in my old local in East London. He’d had problems over the years that resulted in a nervous breakdown and he still suffered. I warmed to him as he was the first person to befriend me.
I had heard he’d attempted suicide again and they’d had him sectioned. Whether that was true or not was never confirmed but he did disappear. I know where he lived and the house has since been sold as I found it on Zoopla.
I know his full name, rough age and where he lived. That’s it. No family etc. Where can I find out whether he sadly died? I’m assuming so as nobody’s seen him for years.
It’d settle my mind.
If you know his second name births death register
Ring the boozer. Local pubs are a wealth if knowledge and if you speak nicely and say you were fond of him and concerned Im sure they will know.As it says. There must be a way.
