They are proper p*ss*ng me off! They reneged on a payment scheme that included compensation for faulty broadband services and a dodgy 'Super Hub' and it has offset the payments planned ahead.

They've refused to deal with the initial phone call that had all this dealt with and I'm fooked off with them, finally. I feel like they've conned me, big time. Considered telling them I am moving to an area with no Virgin cables, but I don't know of anywhere in the UK!

What are my options??

cancel your direct debit and tell your bank not to pay out anything to virgin.
Phone virgin and tell them their box is by your front door and they can pick it up anytime.

If you can prove they have welch on the contract there should not be a problem. I would have thought that this should not be difficult to prove as they should keep a record of any conversations you had with them. Other than that it looks like the ombudsman.

Not had any dealings with Virgin, but someone posted this on Facebook yesterday. Can't confirm if it's real tho :)

I've just had to cancel mid contract because I've moved to an area where they don't provide a service.

I was intially going to have to pay £180 to cancel. The woman on the phone kept throwing virgin mobile offers at me and I kept refusing. In the end she offered to wave the canellation fee of £180 if I bought an internet dongle for £24 and signed up for the two month contract at £12 a month. I saved £130 odd quid in the end which wasn't bad considering at one point I actually said "Fuck it I'll pay the £180".

I have asked for them to listen to the conversation twice. Once they sent me an itemised bill AND charged me for it!! The second time, just yesterday, they claimed they had 'difficulty' accessing the phone call!!

How's this ombudsman thingy contactable?

What area was that, Knight??

Cheers!

I hate the fookers and will NEVER go back to them! I hate the thought of paying anything to Murdoch, but the Bearded Tw@'s company has killed my relationship with him!
