How can this be offside

The difference with nolan was it was the opposite way round. He could see nolan but couldn't seel dezko who was level with him because nolan was in the way. Hard for the lino to guess that one. Unless he can see any of a city player furthur back than nolan hes going to flag. In this case there is no way he can see kolorov so if he can't see him he must be level or behind the player hence hes onside. I have sympath for the lino in the nolan case its almost impossible to get it right with the kolorov one its easy.

Based on 1 slide

And a line drawn supposedly straight, superimposed on a picture taken through a telephoto lens, which distorts the shape.

Lino had no right to give that from his position, for one it's impossible to know whether Kolarov was ahead of the ball or not when it was kicked, even from the near side. From his position, utterly impossible. He's just guessed in favour of Ajax.

I can't get worked up about this being a conspiracy as it's clearly within the margin of error for any linesman.

I agree about that particular decision.

But I don't think the poor decisions were dished out equally to both sides. When you get lots of poor decisions and all of them are detrimental to your team and not the other, then you start to wonder.

Of course we will never know, but I would love to see what would have happened had the teams been reversed and that was an Ajax attempt on our goal. Would it have been given offside? I am not so sure.

I think it was pretty clear that the officials, for whatever reason, did not like us.

And you know for a fact when the ball leaves Dzeko's boot? Thought not.

Fool.

Ps... This decision would be irrelevant if one of the three cheating c*nts had given the penalty on Mario.

I'm not surprised by the penalties not being given, as the ref seemed to let a lot of physical play go (I noticed that early on with both sides). I thought Yaya's was a penalty, but I've seen quite a few people on here suggest it wasn't - and, while I thought Balo's should have been, shirt tugs are very rarely given, and as he threw himself to the floor to try and 'persuade' the ref, it was an easy decision not to give it.

The two major offside decisions were correct, and if the officials were looking to stop us winning, then the could have stopped play for the Aguero foul just before our last attack.
