How confident are you about next Saturday?

As has already been said , a fit Rooney could make the difference to them ...... he's having a fantastic season.

But they will know that we have only lost one home league match all season, and won't expect an easy ride here ...... even if Rooney plays!

We are confident , as we will need to be ..... but we must guard against being over-confident ........ they are a top four side , and whilst we have absolutely no reason to fear them the way we're currently playing , we shouldn't understimate the fact that they DO win away games more often than not!

Spurs play Arsenal and Chelsea next week , Villa take on Everton and Portsmouth , and Liverpool travel to Burnley ..... so we need to stay on the ball and remain focused.

Always nervous before these games. They may well be not playing well, but the table doesn't lie. They are the second best team in the country, and will be desperate not to lose to us of all teams. They're not going to bend over the kitchen table for us to shaft the life out of them.

I worry about you sometimes, Jim

Disturbing

I'm usually dreading it but I'm really looking forward to it now. They've pretty much proved that they are a one man team now and without Rooney they do suffer a lot whereas we have done the exact opposite and proved that we are becoming stronger and stronger and with the force of Tevez and Ade going straight at their defence I can see them cracking, Tevez and Ade are an amazing duo and I would just love Tevez to get a hat trick against them. Obviously I do have that horrible thought in the back of my mind but I am still very confident about this.

honestly, just nervous. it's football, you could have the ball go in off of someone's ass.

I think the team will be confident and we will hold possession. but a corner kick or set piece is all United need to unsettle things and they have the quality to take all 3 points.

they won't of course ;)

If Mancini uses the same tactics as his other 2 Manchester derbies, i fear we will lose. I really didn't like the way we sat back in both of them, and we were very fortunate to win the 1st leg of the Carling Cup semi. But on the other hand, if Mancini has learnt his lesson, and doesn't revert back to 3 holding midfielders, simply because it's a game against one of the big 4, then we will win.

Am very confidant of beating the Rags, With the form that were in lately we will relish Derby Day on Saturday, Our front line is on fire......Im going for CITY 3-1 Rags.

What time is everybody planning to go to Mary D's at?

6 last weekend, 5 this weekend surely means 4 for next weekend?! Seriously though, I think we'll do them by a clear 3 goals. They look tired, out of sorts and aged. We look the exact opposite of those things, and I maybe wrong but won't this be Ade's first Derby this season? he will be the difference. I'm going for 4-1, with them scoring first and getting all their rag fans hopes up, only to be dashed by Tevez, an Ade double and a Johnson wonder goal.

We won the first leg and were in bossing the second until the Bellamy incident which changed the game.

We weren't negative, that was just the excuse people gave in retrospect. Look back on here at the comments after the first leg! That second leg defeat has been used as a rod to beat Mancini and the decision to hire him and is completely unjustified.

I think it will be a lot harder than people think but we could get all 3 points if things go to form.

Absolutely, we already beat United at home in the first leg and although people still call Mancini negative i don't think they understand how football works at times. United didn't create much at all in the first leg but after we went 2-1 up they pinned us back and put us under a lot of pressure because they wanted to get the equaliser. Sadly some people think that if we want to attack we can just attack when it's not as easy as that, teams like United are excellent with the ball and will put near enough every opponant under pressure for long spells and it was no different in the first leg

Things will be tough next Saturday but the team will have belief, the fans have got belief and we're good enough to beat them as we've already shown this season at home and that was without a few key players

Not very. Against any other team I would be uber confident about a victory, however against them, all form goes out of the window.

I've held back on giving United fans stick after yesterday, but believe me if we win Saturday their season is effectively over and I will be giving it out bigtime.

A fit Rooney worries me, but other than that, they've nothing to fear

I am confident for this game (especially with wooney struggling) but a derby is a derby and you never know what could happen.

I dont like to get carried away as being presumptious can come back and slap you in the ar*e. we are however playing very well and norwich are a one man team!

c'mon city!!! I cant wait for this game, COMS is going to be fuc**ng rocking!!!!

I'm not making any bold predictions because I always expect the worse on Derby Day.

However, what I will say is that United have to go all out for the win so that could play right into our hands. We'll be set up to keep it tight and then hit them on the counter. Even if all of our front four aren't firing you'd expect us to score....but if all four are on fire.....oh my days.

its gonna be a tough game.

i can see headlines. City brought crashing down to earth with a brace from berbaflop.

or berbaflop answers his critics and puts city to the sword.

something along the lines.

excuse the negativity. am cracking up.

reallly want us to get 4th spot but knowing my luck we wont cos of some stupid ref decision or something along the lines.

I'd have preferred us to draw 0-0 yesterday and to have beaten Burnley 1-0 but instead,
we go and fuck it up by scoring 11 in two matches. Typical City.

I much prefer going into derby matches with zero optimism. How can I do this now?
Mancini has fucked up big time with this one, he just doesn't understand Manchester derbies.

Thanks again City.

I have bo doubts at all, in fact I think we will win convincingly. Although I also think they will try to cripple Tevez, even if it means one of their players taking a red card for it.

I truely believe we can come away with a 3-0 or 3-1 victory at worst..at best...Who knows? One thing is for sure, Tevez will be out for a hat trick because not only does he want to beat Man Ure and take fourth spot and bollocks their chances of the title, he also wants to take the golden boot of Rooney...Its going to be a hell of a battle!

I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets be havin'em.

This ^^^^^^ Very few teams come to COMS needing to win anymore.
