How did you come to join BM?

I was off work sick and hadn't talked Football or City properly in weeks. I woke up one morning and put SSN on, hoping desperately we hadn't sold Corluka to Spurs. The Yellow ticker bar was telling me we had made a massive bid for Berbatov and the Club had been taken over by some investors from the Middle East who were X amount times richer than Roman Abramovic !

So after a few hours watching all this unfold I went on line and put "City fan group" or something into Google and it sent me here. I joined up and had about 70 or 80 posts under a different username until I changed to Ifiwasarichfan.

The "there's something going on" thread was amazing to read on the actual takeover day and the day after as it all began to sink in.

We have a wonderful community in this place and very few minutes spent on here are wasted time. Ric and the really early posters should be extremely proud of what they have built.
 
I met a man who looked desperate so i let him stay for a few weeks and he seemed to spend all his time on here and not between my legs so i thought id pop in to see what the fuss was about. andy seems nice.
 
Err, upon first thoughts, I can't remember, so I'll play detective...

Cross-checked my joining date with the fixtures list, and I joined a few days after we lost 2-0 to the rags at our place. That was the game when the hairy Welsh illegitimate one turned up in tights. It also turned out to be the last time my Mum and Dad attended a game, as Mum just couldn't get over the real hatred between the fans. (The last nail in the coffin was SWP heading darn sarf.) Must have joined once I got back to Nog-land, as we didn't have t'interweb at home, then. Suppose I must have found a link from MCIVTA, as I was on that long before this den of iniquity. Had a few years' break due to lack of internet, and lost a load of posts (probably about fourteen). Ric (all hail!) offered me them back upon my return, but I'm no glory-hunter, so I worked my quiet way back up again. Think I missed a couple of deaths during my absence, but it was great to see loads of the old names still around. The place seemed to have been overrun by youngsters, though.

Alternative B: I'm a sad, lonely individual who stumbled across the site whilst searching for smurf porn.
