How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

This is the reality, and there is no simple solution that will put everything right tomorrow. The pragmatic way forward is to realign with the EU and work our passage back. This means swallowing a lot of pride and is unpalatable for many. But in the words of Margaret Thatcher: 'There Is No Alternative.' And there isn't, except for a worse option like becoming a complete subordinate of the USA.

Thats just Project Fear talk ha ha ha ha - its the first line that is the mad thing....... given the evidence before their own eyes people still seek to deny its happened and continues to happen

Realignment with the EU is obviously and rationally the only way to salvage anything in the way of a future.
And what is this insane bunch of brexit zealots doing?
A ‘bonfire of regulations’ - a scorched earth, completely bonkers attempt to take us further than ever away from the EU, and any hope of a recovery.
And we all know why.

bonfire of regulations kills off all exports. We won't be following internationally recognised quality standards that are marked appropriately on the export instead we will be trying to push our own non recognised seal of approval - it will be untried and un tested and not recognised anywhere. I reckon about a month of export places closing down should shake even the most ardent Brexiter to reality.

There are still some who think that any economic damage to this country- no matter how serious- is worth it if we ‘get our country back’ and they can dance in the street to celebrate the return of ‘sovereignty’.
These are incurable and their influence - if any- hopefully will soon dissipate in the face of reality.

Most exporters will ignore the fact that they no longer have to meet EU regulations. They will just do it anyway or they’ll lose 90% of their market. They’re not as stupid as the government.

They've voted against everything other than Johnson's fudged deal - which he's subsequently said he knew was awful.

It's an interesting position to be against everything except something that doesn't work. I wonder what they are actually 'for'.

Meaningless gesture in terms of NI - This is all about "getting at" Sunak. It will pass anyway with Labour votes if needs be. If Sunak had any bollocks and having been wounded by relying on Opposition votes he should remove the Whip from anyone who votes against him - he would still have a working majority anyway but cast the rebels out into the cold - deprive them of any Party support

Steve Baker just made me laugh. In complete denial Labour will pass the vote for Sunak on BBC.
