Yes, but it's gradually softening the hard brexit stance and moving towards closer ties with Europe.
I think both extremes have got to grow up and be adult about this. We are not remaining in the EU - that ship sailed years ago. We can not on the other hand have a hard ERG style brexit as it won't work. I've long thought we'll tip toe back towards a sort of brexit/rejoin in name only position and small steps like this are progress.

I think I acknowledged that (and money-magpies are not necessarily political animals) but not all Tory MPs or supporters move in such circles, in fact a vast majority probably do not, despite the image some try to present. Your average ex-civil service old coot in a bungalow with a ring-fenced pension is not gonna be making millions cos a few fuckwits flushed the economy down the crapper.

yeah, I read that but my point still stands, it doesn't benefit anyone - if trade is down, unemployment, debt and inflation up it can only be self-defeating. Bankrupting the economy will only benefit the global money-magpies who will then just fly on to the next crash or downturn elsewhere. I think many Tories were (wrongly or rightly) behind this, but not necessarily for the reasons stated in that article.
