What do nuclear weapons have to do with a trading partnership? That's what nato is for, which the UK is still a member of.Yes true but some years down the line that will possibly change. We've also got nuclear weapons and they will always want us in the gang for that alone.

It's called being ganged up no matter what the gang. Better in a gang of 400 milion than 70 million whether it's trade or war. There is a process going on. Politicians know that the government that takes us back closer to or into the EU will generate significant economic growth and optimism. Where as doing more of what the tories are doing is inevitable going to be more failure and stagnation.
But it's balancing the public mood. The brexit process was horrible and few have appetite to do it again. And the tories would still love to pitch themselves as patriotic brexiteers vs the surrender monkey labour.
It looks bleak now but Starmer will have to move the dial on his EU rhetoric. The Labour members will demand it.

Belgium, Italy, Holland, Turkey and Germany as well when you count the US owned ones. But its still a nato matter and fuck all to do with the EU.Only France.
