How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

There are plenty of driving schools here that will do lessons and tests in English. I imagine most are not willing due to the cost. Probably best part of a couple of grand to get it done and many are on their arses anyway.
They had 2 years to get it sorted, it was a fairly painless process as well.
Both Spanish and British consulates are still in discussions regarding an extension or a window to allow those needing to exchange to do so but the stumbling block seems to be the Spanish want access to the DVLA so they can find out if people are banned etc. it’s a reasonable request in my opinion but for some reason the British side don’t seem to want to agree.
Petty cunts.

Thanks. I’m not sure my mate knows all of this and I will pass it on. Either that or he doesn’t want his missus to drive!

I guess it’s dependant on whereabouts they are. Obviously if they are inland in a non tourist area they might struggle for English speaking instructors but where I’m based for the most part, on the Orihuela Costa there are plenty about.

They are in the depths of Andalucia about an hours drive from Granada away from the coast. Hoping to visit in the next month. I wonder which one of them will pick me up?

They don't need an English speaking driving instructor. They need Spanish lessons.

Coming over here, not learning the language.
Of course that would be the wisest thing to do but you’re kidding yourself if you believe that many of the expats will be learning the language well enough to sit lessons, take the theory test and then the practical test.

In a perfect world everyone moving to Spain would learn the basics but they tend to set up in areas that are predominantly English speaking and just don’t bother.

My mates Spanish is quite good now. Early days he used Google translate. Hes an ex cop and a big guy. When he found some of his stuff in the back of a workman’s van at the place he bought he stopped him on the job and made him watch as he typed in ‘put it back and any more and I’ll break all of your fingers.’ He smiled as he passed the translation over and watched the guy read it. No more attempts at theft.

If they cant learn Spanish in Spain I've little sympathy. And learning a new language staves off dementia.

Cool, don’t really disagree but you’re not living in the real world if you think it happens.

Why does this deal exist at all?

Is British exported frozen chicken in containers or air freight going to be as cheap as anything produced locally or by neighbouring countries?
Funnily enough I fancied a roast chicken for tea this evening.
Not one in stock in my local 'biggish' Tesco

Yes it does and no it won't be - but its a deal. Thats the madness of it all - Brexiteers are so keen to see success at any cost they see the words "completes a deal with...." and don't read on to or ask what benefits does it actually bring. Economists do and its part of the data they use to illustrate the negative economic effects of Brexit

Because it’s a numbers game. Never mind the value, look how many deals we’ve got. Next will be tariff free deals to export sand to Saudi Arabia, rice to China and tea to India worth a total of about a fiver to the U.K. economy. But it’s 3 deals to add to the long list.

Went in tonight and there were so many aisles near empty. May just be a change of shelves but looks like they are expanding the shelves as they aren’t getting the stock.

However, ‘Don’t panic’.

Saudi Arabia does actually import sand.
