How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

As an inveterate Remainer, and someone who is still angry at this folly, I feel I’m well placed to make the following comment: we need to change the name of this thread.

It could be construed as provocative. And egregiously subjective.

It’s happened, it’s not going to be reversed anytime soon, and we have to make the most of it.
Why cant our PM say this?

Draw a line under it then promote a positive outlook for the country. Rather than trying to make the electorate feel like shit and wonder why mental illness is going up?

You can rename a turd a rose if you like. But it's still a turd and still smells like one.

If you could solve problems by changing their name, we'd be sorted tomorrow. Maybe we could stop talking about the National Debt and call it 'Money We Owe Ourselves'.

so, in fairness to them and I wouldn't want to be usually, they had to do something to cover up the shortfall of labour the country had.

However on the other hand I can't feel sorry for them because they were warned about this and they lied to cover up rather than admit the damage they have done.

You still deserve respect for the suggestion that we look forwards, but it seems there is still a vast majority unable to progress from the denial and anger phases

Maybe another year or 2

Agree with GDMs post but in response to your comments about this being an echo chamber, this is mostly explained by supporters of Brexit being unable to front up for contributing to the long term harm of this country. The fact that Brexit voters seemingly shrug their shoulders and blame others is is pitiful.
Spot on. We are all looking forwards but it doesn't mean that the cost to the economy is a no go area, especially when those that voted for it are the ones moaning loudest about higher taxes round the corner. It's a bit like getting divorced and moving from the 4 bed detached into a 1 bed flat and ignoring the reason why when asked.

They also have to offer full freedom of movement with the EU, the thing that him and all the others were most desperate to stop.

There isn't one of the original proponents of Brexit who understood it. They were all daft in different ways. The ones still clinging to the fantasy desperately just display what little people they are, unable to admit their mistake.
