as I predicted - we are the victims
Did government make some form of agreement with the EU lately?
A new process from October for all 3rd countries including, of course, the UK. It will involve all over the age of 12 having to give fingerprints and, I believe an eye scan. Not everywhere will have it intially but it's targetted to be complete at all points of entry before Summer 2026. Dover is already hinting at carnage as each car will take "several minutes" as opposed to a few seconds. Maybe more will choose to stay in the UK-there's an unforeseen Brexit benefit. :-)Did government make some form of agreement with the EU lately?
Flew in and out of Portugal over the last week and there was no issues at all, apart from me bolloxing up the digital passport checks. Straight through everything abroad with my old biometric passport, quicker than the EU line. Only real issue occurred in the UK where the system didn’t recognise my passport.
Found myself diving into the calming solace music can bring more often of late.O Freunde...
Cheered myself up watching Beethoven's 9th at the Proms!
Join in one embrace, you millions!
What’s wrong with good British composers like Purcell? ;-)Found myself diving into the calming solace music can bring more often of late.
More of a Bach fan and have recently fallenl in love with Mozart, but Beethoven also created some incredible works of art (which I’ll eventually catch up on).
I mean those three are the godfathers of modern music.
But, this is well off topic now :)
From what I can we have had no benefits from coming out of the EU. Just lots if hassle

You couldn't make it up
Unbelievably stupid people. It wasn't perfect but better being in a big gang than a small one. We are now small.I didn't - I predicted it - not thats its hard with Brexiters - what all this "they are persecuting us" bollocks illustrates exactly how little they understood what they were voting for - a mixture of ignorance and entitlement just made them believe the they need us more than we need them shite.
My Mrs went to get her hair done yesterday - hair dresser is her sister - she told her of a new customer she has who returned from Spain because the rules didn't allow her to stay there. It seems that she had a nice 2 bed apartment there with a shared pool etc etc and is "reduced" to renting in North Yorkshire. Apparently when asked couldn't she have done something post Brexit to allow her to stay the response was along the lines of " probably but I couldn't be arsed WE ARE BRITISH for gods sake". My wife said even her sister thought she was an obnoxious twat.

So the EU protects its' borders and the Leavers moan?
Sorry to disappoint you, but that is a pipe dream - seriously, I suggest that you would be better finding a way to get over it.when you think about it the fix is simple. Elect a Govt which promises in its manifesto to do so. This lot won't do it whilst chasing Farage's tail - the Cons won't as its their Kryptonite. Launch an election campaign focused on re-joining the EU as mush as we are able and hammer home the things we have lost as a result of leaving and what we can get back.
remember when Raab was Brexit Minister? I mean literally the Government Minister over seeing Brexit
For once I agree with you. By the way, where are you "exiled"?Sorry to disappoint you, but that is a pipe dream - seriously, I suggest that you would be better finding a way to get over it.
Even this government and even this PM, being so desperate to have stayed in the EU, have given up on that dream
This government are enacting policies that make it impossible for us to rejoin on anything like terms that could ever be acceptable.
Therefore, they know we are not rejoining - simple fact
As just one example, the government, in both Scotland and the wider UK, are spending many many millions on programmes of work that replace the CAP regulations. We cannot and would not do that if there was any consideration of the UK rejoining the EU.
I mean many many £millions
We would not be doing this if there was any prospect of rejoining the EU
Sorry to those that are so desperate - it's simply impossible to happen in the lifetime of anyone posting on here
