How does he / she/ him/ her/ they/ that / them get work?

Well I started this thread about Keith Lemon, I added Jo Brand later.
I just don’t see what they have to offer.

Jo Brand is a good laugh and has good stories but I found her to be a lazy standup in real life.

Many years ago I saw her in person in the local theatre and almost all the material was stuff I'd already heard on TV.

Thought she was upstaged by her support act (an unknown) and the critic in the local newspaper agreed.

Jo Brand is great on panel shows.

Agreed. That's why I knew all her material.

This was before the ubiquity of smart phones and youtube and streaming wasn't as big when shows on linear TV like mock the week were still relevant and fresh.
