Hello!

Recently moved to Manchester and am preparing to move into a flat soon. What I was wondering is; What kind of TV-subscription should I get?

I am thinking I will need (almost) everything football-related, with PL, CL and the FAC being the important competitions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Get yourself the works on Sky for £60 a month, get a decent internet connection, buy an Xbox, set up Sky Player on the xbox, cancel your sky contract... Voila, free Sky :)

As you ask 'How does TV work in this country' perhaps you are from abroad.

You should know that you need to buy a TV licence for £145 per year from the government in return for permission to use your own TV in your own home without getting a fine and a criminal record.

It sounds ridiculous, but no, I'm not winding you up.

dont forget your £150 TV-licence, you need this even if you intend to stream via your PC

Get yourself a decent internet connection (Virgin, Bt infinity)

hook up a pc to your tv, and you won't need a tv license as you only need one if you are connecting your tv to an aerial.

With the internet now on your tv - download all the films, live footy and music you will ever need.

You need one to watch on your phone or iPad.

very wrong...any device which can broadcast a LIVE picture is classed as needing a licence...that includes iphones & ipads

nearly 50,000 students were caught out last year by this

Thank you by the way.
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/</a>
this will ONLY give you access to Freeview if you want sports etc you will need to subscribe to Sky, Virgin or BT Infinity.
TV is not cheap in this country.
