How far back in time do your City memories go.

My old Dad (84 this December) can remember being huddled round a radio/crystal set in a back alley in Collyhurst listening to the 1934 Cup Final with his school mates.
Can anyone else go further back in time with their City memories or recollections.

good friday, remember seeing neighbours on in the concourse, steve mcmanaman curled one in top bin for lpool, only for us to come back and win it 2-1 :)

94 season me thinks.

I dont know becaue I had to see a hypnotherapist to block out the early part of my support in the 90's

3-2 to City against Blackburn at Ewood (94/95 season) was the first game I can remember being at. I think I can remember watching a derby match before that though and being disgusted at a blatant act of cheating, which won them a penalty. I could be wrong though, maybe it was after.

Earliest memory, I could hear the roar of the crowd in my street when we scored, in the early fifties.

My earliest recollection of City is as an 8 year old reading the Pink's match report after City won 3-2 at the Swamp in 1962/63 - Alex Harley scored one of the goals I think.

listening in bed on my radio, us beating the rags 4-0,

league cup semi 1976.

My first game, 98/99 season at home v Wrexham I believe. 0-0, they had a goal disallowed, but I loved it. Only got to Maine Road twice, the other was in 00/01 v Charlton, 1-4, in a box owned by my Mum's American boss called Bob, :P
So despite that Wrexham game being a drab draw, I'll always treasure it for the atmosphere, my first game and the only time I was in a proper seat at MR.
