What makes me laugh is the house I grew up in, and spent the 1980's, 1990's and a good amount of the 2000's in, is only 3.4 miles from the ground. Yet, because it's actually in Stockport, that would apparently mean I am not allowed to support City according to some United fans. However you could be 20 miles away from City's ground, still be within Manchesters arbitrary borders and that would be perfectly acceptable.
