A few weeks ago I was cycling north through Altrincham on a United home match day and I saw three blokes in United shirts walking south.

For a joke I shouted ' the ground's that way' and pointed north.

Instead of the abuse I expected one of the blokes turned round and asked me where the ground was.

So I said it's about six miles up the road.

He said thanks, but we'll get the tram if it's that far.
