How long before the Navas thread !

I'm not that impressed with Navas at all, never have been. He's got a lot of speed but a pretty darn dreadful end product, and from having watching La Liga over the years he seems to go missing from time to time.

Pedro is three-times the player that Navas is. But I assume pretty much impossible to get.

Spot on, a very accurate comparison. Looks lost once he beats his man...

Navas is a non starter as another poster said. Alba, on the other hand, would be a brilliant signing. He would maybe be a bit lightweight to be our first choice left back, but he'd be perfect to play wing back or even as an out and out winger. He seems like the perfect barca signing though!

I have no doubt in my mind Alba will be the best left back in the world within two years (if he stays fit). What a cracking young player he is, and as said above, what a perfect match with Barca. Already he has shown a good understanding with Iniesta, Busquets and Xavi.

-- Thu Jun 28, 2012 9:26 am --

Navas would never happen as he gets notoriously homesick and tbh I don't think he'd add much to our squad. Pedro on the other hand is a completely different matter

I've always rated Pedro, but last season was bad for him due to injuries so I had kind of forgotten what it is he adds to a team. But the sub appearances I have seen him make in the Euros have reminded me just how good he is.

Surely he must start in the final.
