How long does it take you to get home after a home match?

I usually get through the door by Midnight on after a 3pm Saturday match although my time is taken up by train journeys, Pubs and a Kebab.

10 minute walk to the car street parked, then about hour and a half to two hours across the M62 then down the A1. Worse because of the roadworks on the M62 at the moment, bloody nightmare.

Worse travel was back from the Fulham game in the snow, did okay until got stuck on the road past Heaton Park with transit vans and Bmw's all over the place. Think it took well over three hours that night.

Still makes me laugh though when I walk past the Cheltenham branch coach, could be worse![/quote]

That coach is always there before me! No matter what time I leave Catterick!

5 minutes walk back to the car then 10/ 15 minute drive

how long , on average, are the roads closed for around the stadium?

taking an older relative to the next game and have to park more or less right next to the stadium

When I started going to games in lates 70s and early 80s my journey was

leave home Friday afternoon about 4 train from Coleraine-Belfast - 1 and half
Friday night - overnight ferry - Belfast-Liverpool 12 hours
Saturday am train Liverpool-Manchester about 1 hour

social club and few pints and something to eat - watch game

straight away rush to station

train Manchester-Liverpool
overnight ferry Liverpool-Belfast
train Belfast-Coleraine

round trip of 48 hours - maybe 3 hours sleep if bar open on boat all night

did this for quite a few years at a price of £15 return for a football special

don't think could do it now though
