I must add that I am not knocking Stoke for using the long throw, fair play to them for that, it is the apparent common accepting of the time it takes to take the throw in that annoys me.

But the real point is that, at what he does, he's amazing! Even if we took away the towel and hurried him along a bit, the problem is he just throws a football an incredible distance. Let's be honest, if we had a player who could launch a throw-in that far we'd exploit it! I think our analysis of the Stoke games should focus more on our own shortcomings i.e.that we didn't ask enough questions of their defence!

Btw, the PL is the only league that still plays with only one ball, so the possibilities for time wasting is endless. With the multiball system that is used in Europe, Delap (and the goalkeepers) would have the ball instantly. However, you cannot speed up the time it takes for Delap to run over to the touchline :(

I think we have much more imprtant things to worry about than Delap's throw in's. Like why create fck all in midfield for starters, or why we do'nt mount any real sustained pressure likely to produce goals.
