How many Blue characters are there on TV?

Timothy Spall was in The Street - last series and he reminisced about a dream he had of scoring for City in it - was a quality programme as well - very moving.

Is it just me or does there always seem to be loads of Blues in these programmes? The Royle Family Christmas special had Dave wearing a retro City top when he was lying in bed with Jim. It was the same top that Kev used to wear in the early episodes of Shameless which got me thinking that there seem to more Blues in these programmes than that of anyone else.

Craig Cash is a real life City fan from Stockport (he lives in Marple) ..... so to play one , as 'Dave' in the Royle family xmas special was easy for him.

As 'leemcfc' says ...... Kym Marsh's son in Coronation Street is also a real life City fan from Radcliffe .......... Ben Thompson (who plays Ryan).

One of the teachers in Waterloo Road plays a City fan ..... i think his name is 'Tom Clarkson' ( played by Jason Done) ........ however although he's Worsley born i can't find any evidence that he's really a football fan in real life ..... more a Belle Vue Aces speedway fan.

One of the girl pupils who left Waterloo Road in it's first years was a real life City fan ...... she played 'Mika'.

Don't forget "Old Tommy" from Early Doors. Goes every week to watch the blues. Everyone in the pub empathised with him.

"Burn it" was written by a blue I was at college with.

regan in the sweeney (john thaw) god rest his soul, was a big city fan?

Yes he was .........

John Thaw was a City fan , and a really good actor ..... he also played Inspector Morse ...... he came from the West Gorton area of Manchester .. but grew up in Burnage.

Seems to remember an episode of "The Street" when someone (possibly Jim Broadbent) had a terminal illness. Went down his local and started giving the Utd fans a load of verbals.

That's brilliant, I never knew that - just down the road from me too. John Thaw was a top man.

Was Regan a Blue? The Sweeney was a London based show, I hope he was though, he was the top TV cop for me - a bit like Gene Hunt who someone mentioned was a Blue.
