How many City players/managers (auto)biographies have you read?

He’s wrote a few with references about city. Colin Schindler wrote “ George best ruined my life” George best and 21 others”, and “ fathers, sons and football”.
I read the first two of Schindler's books. Both were excellent. I loved the description of the Youth Cup SF from 1963-64. City played United home and away with over 50,000 watching the two legs. United had three first team players in the team including George Best, David Sadler and John Aston plus a future first teamer Jimmy Rimmer in goals. City had occasional and future first team regulars in the team: Mike Doyle and Glyn Pardoe, along with Alan Ogley and Alf Wood.

I went to all the home Youth Cup ties and the United away leg that season. It was a break from the City first team struggles in the Second Division. Reading the book brought it all back to me.

There was also the anecdote about when City were touring the USA when the news came through that Robert Kennedy had been assassinated. The comment about 'why shoot him, he was only a reserve?' stood out.

Trautmann, both books.
Bobby Johnstone.
Mercer.
Allison
Paul Lake

When is Sergio doing one?
(Wonder how many o's there'll be in the title?)

Sergio has done one
And it's already been updated since originally published to include up to the season that ended with that goal. So if you're interested in picking it up then be careful which edition you get.
