How many days holiday do you get?

I get 20 plus the time between Xmas and New Year which is compulsory plus bank holidays. I’ve pretty much run out.

As I get older I want more!

The missus gets 13 weeks. I’m jealous.

As many as I want. I usually take 2 x two week and 1 x one week holiday a year; plus around ten long weekends (including bank holidays) and a couple of weeks at Christmas.

On the flip side, I work most weekends, still do a couple of hours a day when I’m on ‘holiday’ and am always at the end of a phone, wherever I am and whatever time it is. Plenty of times I have had to sort a problem out when I’m out with my mates/girlfriend. It’s all cool, though.

I think I work pretty hard, I’ve done a 22 and a 24 hour working day in the last three months, and plenty of 70 plus hour weeks, but I don’t live to work. I love going away, seeing the world and enjoying the spoils of my labour. I feel sorry for people whose life almost totally revolves around work, however much they earn.

I'm doing a short contract between contracts at the moment, but in the day job, I usually get 35 days plus public holidays. But I do have to work abroad and do a lot of evenings and weekends.

356 days........since the Bank gave me Voluntary Early Retirement at age 56. That was 2 years ago. I sometimes wish I had 357 days!!!

36 and I can work overtime at the rate of time and 1/2 to earn additional time off, eight hour shift of ot gets me an extra 12 hours of paid holiday.

I also get 104 hours of paid sick leave off a year as well.
