How many days holiday do you get?

I get 28 plus bank holidays and finish at 4 on a Friday, I should be on 30 now but my company was taken over and the new company stopped the escalation of holiday entitlement for years service.. I don’t feel so hard done to though reading what some on here get...

36 and I can work overtime at the rate of time and 1/2 to earn additional time off, eight hour shift of ot gets me an extra 12 hours of paid holiday.

I also get 104 hours of paid sick leave off a year as well.

I have a pal works for the post and literally counts the available sick days as holidays. And its quite accepted too. So he’ll say he’s off this week as he has 5 days sick left.
No wonder its in a shit state.

Self employed so 0 hols for me. And wouldnt have it any other way. Bollocks to working for The Man.

I try not to use my sick time for just having a day off work. I've seen coworkers get cancer, get injured, have parents or children injured in vehicle collissions and not have any or enough sick time left to deal with it.

Best mate and I have a plan for starting our own business after we retire. 10 more years and we are on ready to go. :)

As many as I like.

We have a completely flexible system at my place where you can take whatever holiday you wish and you feel is appropriate. In practice that seems to mean people work pretty hard actually. I've taken 2 days in the last 6 months. (Plus bank holidays)

I've had about three weeks off in total over the last four years, the reality of being self-employed and not getting any holiday pay.

As is the reality of me hitting a brick wall earlier this year.

Not had a sick day off my entire adult working life, again as a result of just having to earn my own money.

Run a business so I tend to do lots of long weekends rather than two week holidays, to some it seems I take a lot but probably no more than 20 days in total

20 days, no BHs. Work 7 days out of 14 rotating 12 hr nightshift. 2 in 2 off, 3 in 2 off, 2 in 3 off.
Have to use a days holiday if your shift falls on Xmas day, have to work boxing day, new year's eve ( in early, done by 8), new year's day if those days fall on your shift...
So only work just over 6 MTHS of year, can book 2 days off and get a week off so not all bad....
