Just having Hoff as a fan gives me goose bumps

The Hoff isn't a fan, he just came to a game and got the star treatment afterwards. He's also said recently that he wants to go to a scum game, and I'm sure when he does he'll go into the press with exactly the same photo shots, wearing a kit made for him and hugging all the stage actors, rapists and neanderthals that they call their players.

How dare you?
The Hoff has followed us all this season after the Aguerooooooo affair back in May.

i love listening to my old man whos 77 now about old city stories.he lived on bennet street when he was a nipper and now lives in north wales listening to city on the wireless.(f...ell son i thought i was gonna fuc... die when sergio scored) anyway he has always told me before the munich disaster city had 100s of thousands of fans and the rags were always 2nd best in terms of support.ive been going since around 83 and he always drummed it into me,son city have 100s of thousand of fans,he even told me this when we were shite and ive always belived him.CTWD

Neither do the scum - that figure is based on random polls in individual countries and then applying the percentage to the countries population.

For example out of 1,000 people surveyed in India, 600 say they support the scum (ie 60%) The population of India is about a billion so whats 60% of that?
A lot, but I'll bet more Indians follow cricket than soccer.

Is that really how they came up with that figure? That's a ridiculously simple way of doing things. Don't know why I'm shocked.

Facts are that until this stadium is expanded and we get a sustained run of success in the region of 20 years, then we won't really now.

Facts are this;

1. Until United won their 1st premier league title, they were playing to gates of 35,000 (35,152 was their 92/93 average attendance) in a 2 tier stadium.

2. In the early 20's after their move from Bank Street to Old Trafford their attendances were around 18,000 - 22,000.

3. At the same time City moved to Maine Road from Hyde Road and had attendances of 30% more than United (No fans, No history and all that)

4. United's use of Maine Road post war resulted in many Manchester neutral fans becoming the first glory hunters as when United returned to Old Trafford they were still in the 1st division and City were in the second.

5. The Munich disater, regardless of the loss of life, was financially and globally the icon of their future expansion. This incident saw the first instances of support for a team beyond their geographical boundary.

In short, if we continue to win, continues to expand, and continue overseas marketing at our current rate then the fan base will explode and I have no doubt that if both clubs were playing to crowds of 75,000 there will always be more born and bred Mancunians at City than there will ever be at London-Derry-Dublin United!

Its not even that. They counted anyone who watched them on TV, including most blues/scousers etc as fans.
