How many games a season do you do?

I go to most home League matches. I generally only miss one or two a year. This season I will miss more.

I missed the Boxing Day match against Leicester as there was no public transport from Edinburgh. I missed the Brentford match because I was booked for an eye operation for which I had been waiting for three years to come. I will miss tomorrow’s match against Brighton because of an injured leg.

We often go on holiday in early January so I have missed the odd FA Cup 3rd Round match or LC Semi-final.

Overall including Champions League and Cup matches I would guess around 27-28 Etihad fixtures a season. Add in a few Wembley matches and it comes to circa 30.

Season Ticket holder but work a two days, two nights, four off shift pattern so do miss games but pass my ticket on.
Upon until Liverpool at home I hadn't missed a single game this season including Cup and night games.

Due to a severe chest infection I missed, Liverpool at Home, Atheletico at Home, Liverpool semi final and Brighton and Watford at Home.. Now on the mend I will be back for the Real Madrid game.

None anymore gave up my season ticket after we won the league under Pellers, various reasons - money(said that I wouldn’t renew if it ever got over 500 but hung on when it did), match day was becoming shit, work and grandkids.

Still went to the odd game and a couple of Wembley trips. After a while you don’t miss it. Can’t remember the last time I was at the ground probably about 5 years.

I am finding it tougher after each game now.
I dont want to reduce the amount we do but I'm not 25 anymore.
Sitting here at home watching the cycling, my back is sore from 12hrs in the car and knackered.
I enjoy my match days with my eldest and will continue until my body says stop !

Well 2 separate cancers and ongoing treatment + old age + Covid (Delta) have taken their toll on me. I feal like I've aged 10 years.

Fortunately my season ticket is now in the hands of my 9 year old Grandson and I'm so pleased he's loving going to games with his dad (not in the family stand).

I hope maybe I could get to an odd game in the future, but the reality is I won't get to any.

Never missed a domestic game home or away in the 1976-1977, 1977-1978, 1978-1979 season......but thats a long time ago. CTID
