I'm all for those with the most points having first dibs, but it should be a case of "use it or lose it". Buy your ticket straight away or let others have a go.
For overseas trips where travel and accommodation is a big issue the club should be looking to sell out within 4 or 5 days.

its a bit of a risk at the moment
i wasn't sure if i'd get a ticket for all of us but had to make the decision to shell out the best part of a grand for flights or wait until we got the tickets and then it would be nearer to £1500

Absolutely agree. Club should sell 6000 points for 48 hours first, then 5000 48hrs, dropping thereafter 500 per 24 hours...simples, especially if the phoneline is 24 hours.

Cant see why the club cant announce daily how many tickets are left. It will surely help those planning trips who are lower down on the points. Can it be done, why not they put an article stating last few tickets remaining for Napoli

Am gutted i have a ticket and now i can't go (working for a living is shit innit) soo.... i am happy to sell it to another blue for what i paid for it £35. I can hand it over at wed game or birmingham. Pm if you want it.

Rang at 9am on the dot, 3rd in queue, through in a few minutes.
Then told I didnt have enough points.
"But I've got 4950"
"Sorry mate its 5000"
"It says 4750 on the website"
"Does it? No one told me that. Does it say from what time? Does it say from 10am? Computer wont let me issue you a ticket. Hang on I'll go and speak to my supervisor"
5 mins later "OK mate its sorted, sorry no one here knows whats going on"
Takes details, then "You do know that you have to collect the ticket from the Allianz Arena before the game?"
"Do I? It says the Etihad Stadium on the website"
"I'll check with my supervisor. Sorry mate its all a bit of a shambles".
But alls well that ends well.
