Sky’s dreams have finally come true today ;)

A title decider between Liverpool and Manchester United at the Old Trafford ... something they have been wishing for since inception of Premier League ... only small problem is all the scouse and rag pundits will be pulled in together for this one from Carra to Neville to Souness to Redknapp to Keane ... and they all will have to sing praises for the actual title winners and Pep ...

I wonder if they'd have Micah on today as well, just for him to laugh his head off throughout the afternoon ... :D :D :D

It’s a beautiful day to win the league. Not gonna hope a scum bag team wins but I’ll be ready to celebrate

ABU always?
So it’s last game of season and we are in second place, 2 points behind liverpool who leading the league, and united are playing liverpool. If win our game, and if united beat liverpool, we become champions. Would it still be ABU then?
Yes!
Ps
Pressed l
‘Like’by mistake!

would never want Utd to win

pretty much mathematically as well unless they bang in 4 more goals each game than us which is actuallyt impossible
I know what u mean but in reality we would need to lose all our games ,so at least -4 to our current goal difference,

means they would need +14 to their goal difference,so only approx +3 wins ,so not that impossible

all irrelevant of coarse as the league was over when we laid the ghost of anfield

I'll be hoping for a rag win today.
  1. I prefer us to win the title by us winning a game rather than someone else losing one. It'd be so much better to do it by beating Chelsea than having to celebrate a Liverpool win.
  2. Makes it harder for Liverpool to get top 4 and therefore CL.
  3. Thinking bigger picture, if 2 happens that's a significant loss of revenue for them, when we know they've been struggling financially, from the auditor's qualification of their accounts, The owners aren"t likely to pump money in so they'll probably cut back on spending and/or sell. That helps get rid of a potential rival, which helps us short and longer term.
  4. I believe their players are on heavily incentivised contracts so they'll lose some of their wages if they're not in the CL. Hopefully quite a few won't be happy and will look to leave, particularly the better ones like Salah & Mané. They're both heading towards 30 and won't want to spend the rest of their careers playing in Eastern Europe on Thursday nights if they can get a CL gig. So that's another blow to their ambitions.
  5. It seems unlikely but there's still a chance that the shower of blue shite at Goodison could finish above them, which will hurt them so badly and may lead to a shift of power on Merseyside (although that's probably very wishful thinking).
So i'm quite happy to wait a week to win the title again, at the expense of them waiting another 30 or so years to do the same, as that's a rival out of the game for quite a while.

I cant believe anyone would want Liverpool to miss out on the CL.

it would be funny for 5 minutes, then we have the prospect of them having only the PL to focus on next season, especially when they inevitably throw the domestic cups.

City being in four competitions and Liverpool one, in the thick end of the season, is never going to be a good thing, despite our squad depth.

They dont have Anywhere near the same depth so the more games they have the better.
