Changed my vote to fewer than 75. Can't see United reaching 75 and Leicester look bang average earlier. They have to win 9 from 12 to get there. Not a chance.

Five wins and we're done Blues.

Pundits do that every week, change their mind, then in the end claim they got it right )

leicester drop points - chelsea drop points - united drop points - spurs and arsenal win and pur pressure form that end on liverpool. perfect weekend so far. now watch sheffield united get a point or three in the last game tonight.

7 wins guarantee the title if one of them is against United.

Realistically, 5 wins guarantee it if we beat United.

So, beat Wolves, United, Southampton, Fulham and Leicester, and it's virtually (or perhaps even mathematically) done.

Depending on how the rags do in their next five games.

Team's that can still get 75+ points:

City 98
United 86
Leicester 85
Everton 82
West Ham 81
Villa 81
Chelsea 80
Liverpool 79
Tottenham 78

The rags are on target for getting 73 points this season if they keep going at the current rate. Basically 23 points from the 36 remaining.
4 more wins gets us there, The next 3 games are Wolves, Rags and Southampton and the 4th game being Fulham. If we play as we can and keep our focus then we could win all four of these games.

I think at this point instead of how many points remaining to win the title ... the discussion should change to by how many points ahead of the second placed team will we win the league ... what's the record? Ours from the Centurions season, right? that Liverpool couldn't break last season ... And also what is the record for earliest win by how many games left to go? I think that too is shared by our Centurions season and some old United win? And did Liverpool match that too?

Are people still fretting about this ?

Just relax and enjoy the process, this is as easy as 2017-18 was imho, and we are a better team/squad. If only we hadn't drawn with West Brom/West Ham we might even be looking at breaking 100 points again.

United need 1 point PER game more than City from now on, leicester even more than 1, that's PER game remaining.

Nobody has ever not won from this position, not even close, I think the worst drop off was newcastle under Keegan, and that was only 10 points ahead, and with more games left.

Are we to conclude from that that Ole's a genius and can outsmart Pep at will? It's an anomaly, nothing more.

That's not saying that we will definitely beat them next week but I don't think previous results have any bearing on it.
1 win in our last 6 home derbies is the anomaly.

It’s something (like Anfield) that seriously needs to be fucking rectified against the Rag cunts.

That interview with Luke Shaw just now was priceless.

The gap has done them psychologically - they’ve thrown the towel in and I think they will drop points at Palace in the week as well.

I think we can wrap it up against Leeds at home, if not before.
