I've really enjoyed this thread. :')

It obvious to say it, but the league was done in early March. When Foden scored at Anfield, I knew the league was done and dusted. Next season will be a lot more difficult.

Because the title isn’t at stake and they’ve got fuck all of importance to play for.

And don’t say the EL Final, it’s the LDV Vans European Trophy. It’s the only competition a team in the PL can win which requires the best teams to not be part of it.
Plus you need to loose multiple games before hand to qualify

Its actually 74 points now after Fulham drew at Utd which means we won the league when we beat Leicester City 2-0 on 3rd April.

I still think it was silly that people thought United would win, what was it, like 8 or 9 games in a row?

Especially near the end of the season with Europe and legs getting tired.

We can finish on 83, 84 or 86 points. Our lowest or joint lowest Prem title winning points total. Actually only 2-5 points better than last season.

86 might not sound like a particularly special points total on the face of it but if we end the season with the League Cup, Premier League and Champions League then it looks a lot more impressive.

United got 87 points in 2007/08 when they won the double and only 79 points when they won the treble.

This thread was a bit of a joke imo, how the fuck can you vote on something then be allowed to change your vote as the weeks and results change, it would of been better if your vote stuck now we are getting people trying to big up themselves saying they got it right, bit of a farce, in saying that I really did enjoy this thread it brought the best and the worst of bluemoon

i truly believe this season was the hardest season ever in the premier league ? not just because of covid-19 and no fans. but for the amount of games week in week out ? i don't remember the last free mid-week city have had. maybe it was the international break but again players had to play for the countries and even worst travel around the world and live in bubbles

so 86 points is a great total and being 12 points ahead of the rest. also in the past month city dropped points that was because of champions league football. so it shows how well 86 have been earned
