How many tickets from the Wigan allocation remain unsold?

It's the prices. As a token Wigan fan who never goes to the game, would you pay £85 each for the family to go down to London ? Could cost £500 for the weekend.

No! Fair point!
To be fair, it's a staunch RL town with a football club as well.
I'd imagine a fair few Wigan fans are rugby lads too so coughing up for both is going to stretch a lot of folks!
Not the most affluent area also!
Can't see us getting any more off their allocation though!

the rugby fans and football fans absolutely hate each other. to the point that they won't sit on the other teams coloured seat at the dw, and vice versa. can't see many of them buying a ticket for the final.

Seriously though have they actually shifted less tickets for the final so far than they did for the Millwall game?. I'm not going to knock their support but it seems really odd, you actually get sides taking more for play off finals from the lower leagues who have lower average gates than Wigan.

Thinkin about it, no one can seriously have a pop at them for their support. For one thing Wigan is a rugby league town. Then there's the fact that they've never won rock all. They've got us, manure, and both mickey clubs on their door step. I think to still average 17,000 is pretty fluffin good. The less tickets they sell, the more for us :-)

They seem to have only sold out of the £45 tickets so does anyone have a clue how much of the 21,000 allocation remains unsold?. Will these seats remain unsold or will Wembley put them on open sale?, i'm presuming that the Met might object but bearing in mind the F.A being top drawer money grabbers i'm sure they won't want ANY empty seats.

There doesn't seem to be any indication how many tickets remain unsold both from Wigan's allocation or the neutral sections but i'm half expecting the tabloids to have a big story about the first non capacity final at Wembley.

No matter what football-fest is served up this will be story of the day!

This game should have been played at Old Trafford.
50k tickets to us 25k to Wigan
No need for 115 quid tickets.
All proceeds stay in the North West
Everybody gets home at a reasonable time without a ridiculous expense.
They could have then had anytime kick off. Could even have been 8pm.

Win-Win situation all round apart from Wembley plc, but they've needed fucking off for a while.

My bro went to Wigans tic office yesterday , they had. 40 x £115s left....still would not sell him 1 tho...

correct.

i was talking to a wigan fan on tuesday (he was going to the game v swansea) hes a season ticket holder and he said they havent sold any where near there 20k allocation, they have sold far less than for the semi, he said most wigan fans are fuming about the kick off time, and he went for the semi and got the train back he said another 5 minutes and he would of missed it, so most aint going as wigan generally has a lot of kids as fans due to free tickets through local schools etc and being a 'new' club as such, and people cant risk missing train back and especially if goes to extra time pens, and obviously if they win it
