If we win the CL it makes everyone sit up and take note, enhances the commercial appeal of the club and elevates our transfer targets. Another League Cup changes fuck all, but a CL elevates the club to another level.

I've never believed we'll win the CL this season anyway so the title and a domestic cup is a fantastic season for me.
I understand your thinking but a quadruple will never happen for an English club

It did nothing for Chelsea other than increased the amount of people wearing their shirts around the world.

What top stars play at Chelsea currently? Hazard was the last one. Chelsea also have lower revenue than us.

I think you overestimate the importance of the CL on that side. There will be more people wearing our shirts and thats what ultimately our owners want.

We need to be winning the European Cup about 3-4 times before it really starts to have impact on the player side.

We've lost Kompany, Silva, Sane, and Aguero and Fernandinho are coming to the end of the road. Let's throw in Danilo and Otamendi too. In their place we've signed Dias, Ake, Cancelo, Torres and Rodri.

This team, strikerless for much of it, has overachieved. We have also unearthed a star in Foden.

Today is a disappointment but, provided we win the league, there is much to cheer.

Don’t have to worry about the FA Cup now. It’s gone. One game less. Don’t have to worry about resting players for that especially if still in Champs League.
