something like that, it was the first time using the 'card' instead of the booklet, i was only young and couldnt afford it after that season.

SWP was in his element that season,

I used to pay 25p to stand on the Kippax, on the walk home to Burnage via Platt Fields a burger at the Canadian Charcoal, ...with chips, was 50p!! therefore match, and evening meal 75p!
remember canadian charcoal grill ! heaven! got to go now i feel hungry

Well i first started going to Maine Road in 1969 ......... but i don't think we even changed to decimal currency until two years after that (1971) , so i'm fucked if i can remember how much it cost for a kid to get in the kippax back then ...... probably 'seven and six' , or half-a-crown or so in old money!

But i really can't remember , it's almost 40 years ago ... i'm just guessing.

35 pence.

i used to go to old trafford- stretford end seats.. one week

then the kippax the next ..with my mates.

maine road was always a better day out.., i dont know why,.. it just was... no bitterness....

city was always more fun and more real... less shit and more ...well ... mancunian.. i think..

My 1st season 75/76 it was 25p to get in the Kippax & programmes were 10p.
it was straight to the white wall at 2.00 o`clock to sing `bring on the champions`!!

I'd pay around £7 for a junior ticket in the North Stand at around the start of the Premier League.

cant remember the price for the first games I went to, it was around 70-71 season. one thing i do rememberthough, watching "on the ball" I think it was called (with brian moore?) the outcry when one team put its prices up to 10 bob (50p) to get in. come on who was the first team to do that??????????????????

will take a good memory for this

I think me and black mamba have got that old timers disease cos i can`t remember how much it was in 68.

I do know that for a lot of the games some of the older lads would pass us little ones over the turnstiles so it cost nowt.

Once you were in you would get put on the wall at the back of the kippax and get the best view in the ground.

Going back to prices i can`t remember what i paid for my forest ticket and that was only last week!

25p junior for me in the Kippax 1974...2p for a programme as well

Same year for me mate and until you said it, i would not have remembered how much, but yeh 25p.

I wish the players nowadays deserved their £25 as much as the players back then deserved the 25p.
