It doesn't but I would expect we could only account for that once we've actually signed and sealed the deal, which I assume will be in the summer.

My understanding is that that money was available at the end of the summer if we wanted Falcao so I presume it'll be available this Jan if we want to do something.

It's a loan move with a must buy clause so negredo sale would be in our books by next season,it will be shown as a loan move till the end of this season
I find it difficult to accept this loan as a ' must buy' deal. It may well be that this transfer fee is written down as agreed and this will be finalised with Negredo's signature, but what if Negredo himself does not agree with his personal terms offered. No deal can go through without a player's agreement, and if he doesn't do his stuff in the current season, I can see his terms being revised downwards, and what happens then?

He could then disagree the loan move, and i'm pretty sure the "must buy" part is agreed beforehand, and i still think somehow, that a part of this loan deal, was to get his wages off the books for FFP clause, which said we couldn't raise our wages this year.

A POTENTIAL must by clause if I am not mistaken.

How can you have "a potential must"........potential would mean "an option to buy" and "must buy" would simply mean they have to buy him........can't have both.

If there is a contingency in the contract. I believe they MUST buy him IF they make it into the CL.

According to Stuart Brennan in the MEN:
But that ignores the fact that the Blues are still subject to the Uefa cap on transfer spending, limiting them to a £49million net spend for the season.

As they have already spent £32m net this summer, they would either have to sell, or hope they could somebody in on the cheap, which is unlikely.

So £17 million.

good spot,
so 17 million it is then , plus any sales.

Plus Nastasic,if we are lead to believe that Bobby Manc wants him.

These are the details of the sanctions as stated by City:

"The Club’s expenditure on new players for the upcoming summer transfer window, on top of income from players it might sell, will be limited to 60m euros. This will have no material impact on the Club’s planned transfer activity."

"The wage bill of the whole club (playing and non-playing staff) for 2014-15 will need to remain at the same level as that of 2013-14 season. It is important to note that additional bonuses for performances can be paid outside this number. Importantly, in reality, the existing MCFC business plan sees a natural decline in that wage bill."

Although I'm sure it suits City to let people think that they have a financial constraint this window, my understanding is the only constraints we have are with regards our wage bill and squad registration in the CL. The net spend cap was for the summer only.

Losing Negredo's and Nastasic's wages from the bill would free up somewhere around 150k a week. Maybe even a bit more depending on what Negredo was on.

We've spent £38m net according to the official accounts. Ignore Stuart Brennan, he's wrong.
