How much is Ireland worth?

how anybody can say that a 22 year old British player that was arguably the best midfield player this season in the best league in the world, can be only worth £15million -17million in todays transfer market is beyond me ! this boy is possibly the best talent these isles have seen since Steven Gerrard ..... and that is saying something IMO

thats just an incredible statement ! think of the players that have sold for more and have had prices flung on them ....... and think how much a step up ireland is ...... are you seriously saying to me, you would trade Ireland and £3million to sporting lisbon for Veloso? ....... crazy !

ireland in todays market is worth about £30million ! especially if it was to selling to another club in the english league ! in all honesty, i dont think there is a player out there like him anywhere, especailly not one with so much more to give and some much potential to fill ....... this would make me say priceless ! ..... but if sentiment aside, i would say £30million - £35million

Get what I did there? I likened adug to royalty and Ireland to the crown jewels as he is also the most important jewel we own, in the crown we call city, well if were talkin about in the future anyway

Nobody in England (and thus the world) would spend £30M on Ireland.
 
if valencia is worth 16 million pounds, then ireland would have to be around 21 million pounds , plus he's younger , plus he's a box to box midfielder , plus he scores more goals and assists than most of the other midfielders . if he plays the same way this season ,mark my words , he's definitely going to be linked with the rags and barcelona in the next to next season
 
no question, Ireland must be viewed by managers all over the world as one of the players with that particularly unique natural skill. He's every bit as good as any import player in the league
 
15 - 18 mill unless he was playing for one of the big boys then maybe 25-35 mill.

I think a lot depends on this season too. One brilliant season dosnt make a player.
Consistancy does though.
