thank christ for De Niro,i'm not the oldest,even though the war was still on when i was born(the second world war). Still it's not all bad,saw City at the top of the tree,had the best music,,could buy a house for 2grand and get a bus or train anywhere without having to rob a bank.Oh and being in hospital was'nt a life-threatening experience,you got ill,went to hospital,got better and came home. Many careers available too,petrol at 20 pence,no-one got stabbed ,you could trust the banks,doctors mainly spoke english,and unbelievably if you called the old bill they came round quick !!!! Made in England was on everything you bought (collectors item now).Privatisation thatcher and drugs fcuked it all up.
