I would imagine for a neutral supporting the underdog it was nail biting David vs Goliath stuff

The problem may be solved with a change in playing staff. It's difficult to judge when the team is in such flux.
However, the most important thing is when we are camped outside the oppositions box we must be in a formation that moves the central defenders into the box for headers, knock downs and rebounds.
We can't have a Dias or Akanji playmaking (remember the arsenal home game.. ffs). Drop in Khusanov and a fast as fuck winger or cm to cover breakaways.
Then ping in ball after ball to the danger areas.
I am absolutely perplexed that there isn't a line up provision in place for the scenario we saw at the final. Just criminal from the coaching staff.

It works to a certain extent against teams who play open football as proved yesterday. However there is no Plan B and when you come up against teams who play the same way as you indicate there is no entertainment because they are both waiting for the other to attack. It's the ultimate in one off game football but doesn't get you anywhere in a 38 game season.

We’re quick to criticise Palace/Southampton etc but the way we move up the pitch, slowly, stifle the ball, play sidewards passes, try to fatigue teams mentally rather than trying to be proactive is also killing the entertainment.

As Pep always says he does not want a basketball match and that we cannot play that way. The parked bus is what he prefers to face.
